Web Builder Express can automatcially manage the site menu on your web site. This is usually a time consuming, complex, and error prone process - but with Web Builder Express it is simple and automatic.
Site Menu Orientation
You can decide if you want the site menu on your web site to appear: - Vertically, down the left had side of each page, or - Horizontally, across the top of each page, beneath your site header and above the breadcrumb trail.
To select whether you want to display your site menu vertically or horizontally, navigate to this page:
Summary > Advanced Features > Site Menu Settings
If you select a vertical site menu, all the items in the highest level your site structure will appear on the first level of the menu.
If you select a horizontal site menu, a link for "Home" plus the first five items in the highest level of your site structure will appear on the first level of the site menu. If you have more than five items in the highest level of your site strucutre, any items after the fifth will not display on your site menu. Also, because of space constraints, the horizontal site menu can only display characters in the site menu items that will fix in a width of 160 pixels - any characters that do not fit into 160 pixels of width will not appear.
Hiding the Site Menu on a Particular Page
You can determine if you want or do not want a site menu to appear on each page of your web site. By default, a menu will appear on every page. If you do not want display a site menu on a particular page, navigate to this page:
Summary > Web Pages > Page properties
Click off the box next to "Enable menu on the current page." and then that page will not appear as an option on the site menu.
Preventing a Page from Appearing on the Site Menu
You can determine if you want or do not want a page to appear on the site menu. By default, every page will appear on the stie menu. If you do not want to display a particular page on your site menu, navigate to this page:
Summary > Web Pages > Page properties
Click off the box next to "Show this page on the site menu." and then that page will not appear as an option on the site menu.
